body
Name the door you are keeping before any example starts.
Four doors. You keep one.
Body, money with no figure, the room you stand in, or the people already near you. This one stays on the door you picked, and if you picked the room, you stay in the room. One room. Who got the next question. The other three can be true and still stay shut.
The quick exit sounds like range
The quick exit sounds like range. I'll just touch the other one for a second. I used to take the easier door and call the tour depth. You already picked. Depth, here, is often the way out. A clean example from a second door will offer itself. You can feel how useful it would be. You leave it shut.
What if you name the door you are keeping before any example starts?
If the door is the room
If the door is the room, the miss you can still spot this week is specific. The line landed softer than the one you'd just held as solid, and you called that softer line kindness. Or pressure showed up and you bent, and you called the bend a one-off. The minute. Where you were. What was due. What you did instead. Who else was there, by role. A stranger could catch the skip. The sentence you sanded because someone pushed.
What you do in the moment the miss is open. Not the origin. Not a because. Because of the week, because of them, because you were tired. You cut the because. Back to the move. Thursday, or Tuesday morning, or the meeting already on the calendar. The hands in that minute. What the mouth adds. The softer clause. Who gets the next question. Often the next sentence goes to the person who didn't sand theirs. You add the ease. The chair moves. If you didn't see the chair, don't import a different room to make the miss sound larger. The softer line and the chair you did see are the picture.
Staying is supposed to feel hot. You'll want the body, or the money, or the people, if those aren't the door you picked. The link will feel like depth. Name the door you reached for, and then don't go. Come back to the minute you already have. The kitchen, or the screen, or the room. The time. The thing that was due. What your hands did.
No fresh insight on the end. Insight is another door. The minute is dull on purpose. Dull means you could still see it on a Thursday this week. Interesting means you found a way to talk about it that Thursday can't see.
The days you actually have. Monday, if it already happened, and the miss was there or it wasn't. Don't build the rest of the week into a redemption. If the miss hasn't come due yet, when it will, by the clock you already live. Then what you usually do in that minute. The softer line, said again, boring. What the room does after it. That chair. No tour of the rest of your life to explain the chair.
Say it once more, plain. The door you kept. The miss a day this week could catch. The move you do in that minute that keeps the miss open. Nothing else. If a second door got into the last sentence, cut the sentence. The urge to add "and that's why" can stay outside. Thursday doesn't need the why.
Before any example, name the door you're keeping
Before any example, name the door you're keeping. The next time an easier topic shows up in your mouth, stop and bring one detail that would sound like nonsense behind the other three doors. If the last line still works in the easier topic, you haven't come back.
The long version of that one door is the full talk. The other hour is Thursday, the softer line, and the chair, with the other doors shut.
You keep one door, and the other three get no story. If this one is the body, stay on this week. Sleep. Food. The hour you said you'd move and didn't. If this one is money, stay on what you do. No figure. No list of what the money buys. A bill. A check. A delay. A thing you skipped. The life two doors over can sound like depth. You already picked. The three you dropped stay shut.
I'll just touch the other one for a second
I'll just touch the other one for a second. It feels like range. I used to walk through it. A bill that sat while you did a smaller task, or an hour you skipped, is enough of a picture. You don't open the room, or the people near you, so the skip sounds more serious. Alone is fine. A stranger could still catch it.
The minute might have nobody else in it. Where you were. What was due. What you did instead. The hour that didn't happen. The tab you opened while telling yourself tomorrow doubles. One noun. Not a meeting you import so the miss sounds like status. The body doesn't need an audience to be visible. The money doesn't either.
Skip the origin story. What you do in the moment the miss is open. Repetition due, and you open a different thing while telling yourself tomorrow covers it. A particular minute, not a wish to be better. Thursday could catch this, or Tuesday morning, or the day the bill actually sits there. If a day this week couldn't catch it, it isn't specific enough. Narrow it until a clock time could. What the hands do. What gets opened instead.
A because will try to enter
A because will try to enter. You can tell a true history and still be off the thing you'll do again. The history is the second door, wearing a reason. You don't go. The hands in that minute. The other thing, in one noun. A tab. A skipped set. The smaller task while the bill sat.
Staying on that noun gets hot. You'll want to talk about people if you picked the body. You'll want to talk about a room if you picked the money. Name the door you reached for, and stay on the noun. The wider subject is how you don't have to look at Thursday. Someone should be a little bored and still know exactly what Thursday looks like. If they're lit up, you sold them a second door. Go back to the hands.
The days you actually have. If the miss hasn't come due yet, when it will, by the clock you already live. Then what you usually do. The feed, said again, boring. The people don't get a cameo in a body week. A room doesn't get a cameo in a money week. You picked one. The cameo is the leave.
The door you kept. The miss. The move that feeds it. If the miss is still a wish, and a person couldn't see the act, it isn't ready. Don't pick a second fix so the opening miss feels minor. Don't ease the heat by walking the category you wanted to run from. You already named that other door once, when you set it down. You don't go there now.
What you do in the moment the miss is open
Skip the origin. What you do in the moment the miss is open. Repetition due, and you open a different tab while telling yourself tomorrow doubles.
Tomorrow the circle is wider: Name the door you are keeping before any example starts.
